The Wake County Young Republicans Club hosted a Tax Reform Symposium this evening, August 11. The event was well attended by I would say about 125 people. Patrick Gleason, representing the Americans for Tax reform, spoke on controlling spending in our government. He gave many comparisons and handouts comparing what our country will look like under an Obama Presidency as compared to a McCain Presidency. NC FairTax.org Raffle - District 11

The entire state of NC is holding its second summertime raffle with a 1st prize of $1000. Tickets are $1 each and only 20000 can be sold. Drawing is August 1st. Lee County FairTax Social was a Success - District 2

Mike Pool, the Volunteer District Director for the Second District, hosted a Fair Tax Social last night, June 19th at the Pizza Inn in Sanford. Mike did an outstanding job of presenting the positions that we still need covered in the district, as well as have recruit a few volunteers to fill those positions.
